Uniforms to combat peat fires
Peat fires have been burning for years in Russia’s hard to reach tundra. Members of Greenpeace Russia are tackling these fires and have developed their own set of skills.
Having heard that uniforms are in need, SAFeRS have been gathering uniforms suited to fight arctic fires protecting both from the cold and allowing safe working conditions. Over one ton of uniforms have been sent to Hamburg and handed over to Greenpeace.
Many thanks to all the supporters helping out with the logitics and the sponsors allowing for the project to be completed.
