First fire truck for volunteers in Megara
Our friends and partners from the voluntary fire station Megara, west of Athens received their first fire truck.
Situated half-way between Athens and the canal of Corinth, the voluntary fire unit Megara has been founded only three years ago and has seen several wildfires and flodding events in that short amount of time. All their operations have so far been using private pick-up trucks. We are convinced that the small, agile fire truck fitted with the basic equipment is the perfect fire truck for this young and growing fire unit.
Many thanks to all the supporters during the logitics and the sponsors allowing for the project to be completed.
We ar very happy that the support for this voluntary team is continued.
